Rivers are the lifelines of our region - supporting food security, livelihoods, biodiversity, and climate resilience. Yet, across the Asia-Pacific, rivers are under growing threat from pollution, climate change, and unsustainable development. To address these challenges through collaboration and action, we are proud to announce the International Conference on Sustainable River Management 2026, to be held from 10–14 April 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
This regional platform will bring together policymakers, river scientists, climate researchers, environmental practitioners, youth leaders, development partners, and sustainability-focused businesses from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Event Agenda for 5 days:
Day 1: Arrival and Regional Networking: Participant arrival in Kuala Lumpur, registration, informal networking, and a welcome session to align expectations and build regional connections.
Day 2: Core Conference and Policy Dialogue: Full-day conference featuring keynote addresses, high-level panels on river governance, climate resilience, community-led conservation, innovation, and financing, alongside technical workshops and youth dialogues.
Day 3: Field Learning and Community Engagement: On-ground visits to river systems and local communities to understand real-world challenges, livelihoods, pollution issues, and climate adaptation practices.
Day 4: Cultural and Ecological Exchange: Guided cultural and ecological visits, cross-cultural interaction, and informal networking to strengthen regional solidarity and people-to-people collaboration.
Day 5: Urban Water Governance and Closing: Exposure visit to urban water governance models, followed by the closing session, conference declaration, and participant departure.
